Basic Cycle Co is a small batch manufacturer based out of Tacoma, Washington. We produce straightforward steel road bikes with a focus on practicality and longevity. Our frames stick to proven standards: rim brakes, mechanical shifting, and classic geometry and are built to be easy to maintain for years to come. Each bike uses quality materials like Columbus Life tubing and a Whisky RD+ fork, mid-reach brakes for clearance for up to 35c tires and fender compatibility. At our core, we value simplicity, reliability, and classic looks over trends. Basic road bikes are produced in the USA and painted to order locally. Nothing fancy, nothing new, a Basic bike for me and you.
